What is a Measured Building Survey?
A measured building survey is a detailed drawn-up plan (typically comprising elevations, floorplans and cross sections) presenting all of the visible components of a property, both its interior and exterior features. A measured building survey gives architects, building contractors and structural engineers the information that they need in order to develop a scheme where alteration of the existing building, such as a building extension, can commence.
A measured building survey from Pinpoint Mapping produces an accurate scaled drawing that highlights the property’s interior and its exterior and can include integrated architectural elements. Deploying up to date survey technology, our specialists here at Pinpoint Mapping in Bristol can scan, survey and record the building exterior and interior as a three dimensional point cloud. On returning to our office we employ a mixture of traditional survey techniques and the latest in CAD software to create detailed elevations, floorplans and sections.
